The Boston Music Film Sports and Law Foundation (BMFSL), a new and dynamic nonprofit organization, will develop creative entertainment programming and different aspects of the law to energize and revitalize Black voting initiatives and the long-term
viability of its community, religious and cultural institutions. All programming will have a strategic cultural focus to gain the attention of the Black community for the purpose of voting consistently.
The civil rights movement in the United States from 1954 to 1968 abolished legalized racial segregation, as well as the discrimination and disenfranchisement in the country which profoundly affected Black Americans. It was a national movement spearheaded by faith-based leaders, in particular Black and Jewish clergy. The King and Heschel Black Voting initiative will engage Blacks of voting age in activities that actively promote civic engagement in local and national elections. The Black Love Directive segment of the BMFSL Foundation will be the initial programming that will occur in four stages. Successful lessons learned from the civil rights movement of the 60’s will be adapted to the current climate for strategic programming.

My name is James Fils Leveque I was born in the Dominican Republic by Haitian descendant parents. I migrated to the United States at the tender age of four years old after the death of my mother. When I came to the states I lived with my father George Leveque. My father was a hardworking man who made his living driving taxicabs in the streets of Boston Massachusetts; it was through him I learned about survival. An important lesson my dad instilled in me was to always educate yourself.
